How to Choose Your Forex Software

The forex software that traders choose to use should have several features. These are some of the features that must be there in the forex software.

As a start for your forex (foreign exchange) learning and software testing, you can give Forex Tester software a try.

Web based software

If you wish to trade from anywhere, then it the forex software should be a web based software. This enables you to just login from the site and start trading instantly. You can trade real time and will receive all the information that you require online. Exchange rates are constantly changing each second and this has to be factored by the traders that are making the deals

Downloading the software

Many of them also have consultant that are available online for chat as well as over the phone. Many believe that the internet should be supplemented with the personal touch that they receive.

Many of the software and the companies also allow the traders to trade with as little as $100 of margin money. It's imperative that the forex software provides a safe and secure environment for the transactions to take place. The data should be stored securely in a central exchange.

Secure transactions

Unauthorized entry can play havoc with the accounts and margin money. This can be quite harassing for the traders as they could lose substantial amounts of money. This is reason that the SSL by verisign should be displayed on the websites for forex trading. This ensures that the data is been suitably encrypted and the users are safe to use the forex software and the website

Locking in the rates

When the trader wants to execute a trade, they need to lock in the rate on the forex software Usually the rates are displayed on the forex software in real time for about 10 seconds. After this another rate is displayed for the currencies been traded. Usually the forex software will also show whether the currency pair is going up and down. Many of the forex software will display the forex quotes for over 30 of the currency pairs been traded currently.

Since the forex market is a 24 hour market with no central exchange, the rates are extremely dynamic nod the forex traders are responding to it extremely fast.

Grab Your Audience

Want to give a talk that is captivating and notable? Here are some tips:

Humour
Humour can enliven your talk, but avoid telling generic "funny stories". Instead, find and build more humour within the context of your own stories.
Jokes may get a laugh, but a humorous personal story pertinent to your talk will freshen up your anecdote and will be memorable for your audience.
For instance, come up with an experience that was embarrassing for you - if the point you are making can be tied into an awkward moment which caught you off guard and is humorous in the retelling.
Study your material, find a description that is relevant to a segment of your speech, insert it as a humorous example in your talk, and cap it with a punch line - this is the essence of comedy.
It is also fun to introduce an entertaining "character" to your story.
Then, as you present the anecdote, learn to affect the role of that character on stage by shifting your position, changing your head movement or facial expression. You will be amazed at how the audience can "see" the story and appreciate it more.
It takes practice: Rehearse in front of a mirror, try new material out on friends, and discard it when the story falls flat.

Movement
Effective role-playing and character portrayal depend heavily on the use of body language.
On the platform, it is an essential part of your message and can help you enhance the words you use to create pictures in the minds of your audience.
First, avoid repetitive use of the same movements or gestures. It is a difficult exercise, but it is important to practise a veriety of movements and to control the same repeated gestures with your hands.
Try practising a speech by clasping your hands behind your back to avoid meaningless, repetitive arm and hand gestures. It will be tough at first to concentrate on your talk without using your hands, but it will help stop superficial flailing and gesturing. Remember, if you lose track of your gestures, it does not mean your audience will.
The same applies to facial expressions and movement on the platform. To emphasise a shift in your speech content, move to the left or right of the lectern. If you have a strong point to make, use that moment to take a step or two forward to highlight that issue.
Movement rehearsal is essential to ensure your gestures are relevant and not superficial or redundant.

Voice
Your voice and the inflections of your speech are vital to your talk too.
The way you pronounce words can weaken your presentation. An example is saying "axchually" in place of "actually", or "perfekly" in place of "perfectly".
Use short, simple declarative sentences and cut out useless words. You can be more articulate if you make a special effort to pronounce the final sound in a word and use its energy to carry over to the following word. Pay special attention to the final "t" and "ng".

Delivery
Pausing at exactly the right moment in your speech is often more effective than anything you do with your voice or body movements.
A symphony orchestra becomes a lot more "listenable" because of the variety of sound - sometimes soft, sometimes loud, sometimes still.
Learn to pause more often. As you know your material very well, you may have a tendency to talk too fast. Your audience may be hearing your information for the first time, so it is important to slow down and give them the opportunity to catch every word.
The faster you speak, the more you have to open up your material with pauses. If you do not, you limit your audience's ability to absorb your stories and ideas.
Using pauses and silence to punctuate your material will draw in your audience. After making a point or delivering a punch line, accentuate it by standing still and shifting only your eyes. The impact will be much greater.
Another key element to the delivery of a speech is the use of your energy levels. Studies have proven that the first and last 30 seconds of a presentation make the most impact on the audience.
Do no be afraid to grab your audience. But develop pacing and variety in your delivery energy. If you come on with a gangbusters opening and then drop to a steady low-energy level, your presentation will seem flat.
If you stay high energy for the entire programme, you may risk losing your believability. Adopt variety and pacing in your delivery, and your audience will remain alert.

Transform Yourself

Make changes as you journey through your career and discover new things

On our sailboat passage from Canada to Australia, my wife and I got stuck in the doldrums, about 1,600km from land.
Just as sailors must sail through the doldrums if they want to realise their ambitions of sailing to far away places, we too must make difficult transitions in our careers. If we are to move from junior to senior, from ordinary to extraordinary, there are at least four major transformations to navigate:
From:

  • Being reactive to being proactive;
  • Fulfilling a role to contributing your gifts;
  • Serving your workplace to aligning your work context to your career goals;
  • Continuous learning to teaching others.
Each transformation requires not that we do different things, or that we do things differently, but that we become fundamentally changed, that we be transformed.
But like passing through the doldrums, when we are in the process of transforming, we feel stressed, uncertain and confused.
How then do we navigate through the transitions of our career?
Begin now to cultivate within yourself each of the 5Cs. This is where you will find the strength and wisdom to navigate the trials of career transition.

Pick a Course
More than anything, to cross the uncertainty of transitions, you must have a destination in mind. That way, when you are becalmed in transition, you will have a course to set your sails by as you work each breeze to inch your way forward.
It does not matter that your greater destination will change as your career proceeds, it only matters that you have a course to set your compass by.
In particular, set goals that define how you will be proactive, decide what gifts you want to contribute through your work, what work context will support your career goals and how you will help others learn.

Build Courage
To be extraordinary, you must practise taking risks - this is how you will build the courage to be extraordinary.
You must practise standing out and being proactive. You must also practise stepping out of your role and your comfort zone and declaring your unique contribution.
You must risk insisting that your work aligns with your gifts. You must risk allowing those you are teaching to make mistakes on your watch so that they can learn.
Does it help knowing there is no way other than by risking? Probably not, so you might as well get started.

Build Capacity
Do this every day, in every way.
"Work only" is never sustainable by itself - you must have the strength of a full and balanced life to sustain you.
Being "extraordinary" means bringing who you really are into play at work, and that is how it feels when you are extraordinarily successful - like play!
A life of integrated play and work is your platform for excellence.

Be deeply Committed
If you are to make your work an expression of your gifts, you will have to make difficult choices, big commitments. This requires you to stand by your choices, at first for yourself, and later as a leader for your colleagues.
You build your capacity for commitment by learning two things: how to say "no", ironically, and by learning to take responsibility for everything over which you have the slightest choice.
Learn how to "decide", that is, learn how to kill off the alternatives until you are committed from the very core of your being. This unleashes the power to be extraordinary.

Be Compassionate
Compassion is love for yourself and then love for others.
Show me a workplace that works and I will show you a workplace where people care about themselves and one another.
I will show you a workplace where trust is the basis for relationship, not power of fear, and where people are committed to their own and everyone's success.
Call me old-fashioned, but that looks like compassion to me. To build compassion, learn to love yourself first by discovering how to accept who you really are - the good, the bad and the ugly. It is a process that is surprisingly fun and powerful.
Seem like a lot of work? The next 5Cs, like your career, are not so much a destination as a journey.
Begin today in the spirit of learning and discovery.

Fighting Spam

How?

1. Pretend you don't exist

Goal No 1 of spammers is to get you to read their email. If they think you don't read it - or don't even receive it - they may not sell or pass your email address on to other spammers. That is why you should never respond to a spam message. If you do, your email address is confirmed and you will cement your place on dozens of other spam senders' lists.

Not only should you not respond to a spam message, you shouldn't even look at one. That's because many spam messages contain sometimes invisible graphics - known as "beacons" - that signal to the spammer that your email address is valid. All you have to do is open or preview a message containing a beacon for your email address to be identified as active.

Beacons can only work, however, if you email program is set up to show all embedded graphics. The latest versions of Outlook and other popular email programs come with graphics turned off by default. If you email program displays graphics in messages, you can probably turn them off by looking at the Options menu, usually under Security.

2. Enlist a spam filter

Any good email program comes with a basic spam filter built in. Use it. Outlook 2003 and 2007's spam filter has three levels of spam protection. Likewise, Mozilla's Thunderbird has spam catching built in.

However, note that the higher levels of protection with these free spam filters are likely to tag some legitimate messages as spam, so you'll need to monitor the filtering when you first start using it.

Also, check the website of the makers of these email programs regularly for updates to the spam filters. Updated filters improve the ability of your email program to catch spam and leave legitimate email messages alone.

Fee-based filters are worth a look for those who find free filters insufficient. Cloudmark Desktop (www.cloudmark.com/desktop/) is effective and has a loyal following. It's available on a free 15-day trial; thereafter, the fee is US$40 ($54) per year. CA Anti-Spam (http://www.qurb.com/), formerly called Qurb, is another option, although it tends to be too aggressive at times, requiring you occasionally to fish out legitimate messages from among those it has sequestered as spam.

3. Use gmail

Search is not the only thing that Google is good at. The Internet giant's free Gmail email service (http://mail.google.com/) comes with the best spam filtering currently available.

One of the nicest things about Gmail is that you don't have to abandon your favorite email program to use it. Gmail allows you to receive your email on its website or from within Outlook or another email program.

4. Guard your email address

Don't make it easy for spammers to find your email address. First, don't use the same email address for everything. Give your main email address only to friends, colleagues and trusted business partners. Create and use a separate address for everything else.

Next, be careful when posting your email address online. When you do, disguise it so that it's not instantly recognisable as an email address to automated email harvesters. Instead of me@myhost.com, for instance, type "me AT myhost DOT com". The latter is easily understandable by a human but will be passed over by a spammer's email retrieval bot.

Make your point in 5 minutes

Less time doesn't mean less impact. Here are tips to make your presentation short and sweet yet strong and effective.

You have been preparing for a big presentation. Suddenly you are asked if you can get your message across within five minutes as plans have changed.
Don't panic. For today's television generation, sound bites can be more powerful than lengthy dissertations.
Here's how you can compress your speech without losing impact:

  • Do not apologise or mention that you usually have much more time. Be confident that you can communicate in five minutes.
  • Begin fast. Start with an attention-getting statement such as, "Your job won't exist five years from now," or "In the next five minutes, I want to convince you the best action you can take is..."
  • Use a strongly visual story. Illustrate your points - how it is now, how it will or could be - with a story so vivid that the audience can "see" it.
  • Divide your five minutes into three parts. Present a problem, a payoff, and your point of view: "The No. 1 piece of advice I can give you today is..." Your story illustrates your idea, and your walk-away line could be what will happen if they do what you suggest.
Positive thinking
Now that your presentation is prepared, take some time to relax before your talk - even if you are going to be on stage for just five minutes.
You have probably heard that the fear of death is second only to the fear of public speaking.
That may be true, but if you are looking for one of the cheapest and most effective methods of promoting your service or product, concentrate on the positive results of doing a presentation.
Think of the contacts and prospective clients you will be generating with just a few minutes in front of an audience.

Physical preparation
If accentuating the positive is not enough to keep the butterflies in your stomach in line, take time to work through the following exercises before you step up to the podium.
They help you to channel all that nervousness into energy.
  1. If you are wearing high heels, take them off. Now, stand on one leg and shake the other. When you put your foot back on the ground, it is going to feel lighter than the other one. Now, switch legs and shake. You want your energy to go through the floor and out of your head. This may sound quite cosmic but it is a practical technique used by actors.
  2. Shake your hands...fast. Hold them above your head, bending at the wrist and elbow and then bring your hands back down. This will make your hand movements more natural.
  3. Warm up your face muscles by chewing in a highly exaggerated way. Do shoulder and neck rolls. Imagine you are at eye level with a clock. As you look at "12", pull as much of your face up to "12" as you can. Next, move it to "3", then down to "6" and finally over to "9".
These exercises help you to warm up and relax. The exaggerated movements make it easier for your movements to flow more naturally.
Now, concentrate on the people you will be impressing with your short talk.
Go on, step up on the podium and profit from the experience.

BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast
People who do not take breakfast are going to have a lower blood sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient supply of nutrients to the brain causing brain degeneration.

2. Overeating

It causes hardening of the brain arteries, leading to a decrease in mental power.

3. Smoking

It causes multiple brain shrinkage and may lead to Alzheimer disease.

4. High Sugar consumption

Too much sugar will interrupt the absorption of proteins and nutrients causingmalnutrition and may interfere with brain development.

5. Air Pollution

The brain is the largest oxygen consumer in our body. Inhaling polluted air decreases the supply of oxygen to the brain, bringing about a decrease in brain efficiency.

6. Sleep Deprivation

Sleep allows our brain to rest. Long term deprivation from sleep will accelerate the death of brain cells.

7. Head covered while sleeping

Sleeping with the head covered, increases the concentration of carbon dioxide and decrease concentration of oxygen that may lead to brain damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during illness

Working hard or studying with sickness may lead to a decrease in effectiveness of the brain as well as damage the brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts

Thinking is the best way to train our brain, lacking in brain stimulation thoughts may cause brain shrinkage.

10. Talking Rarely

Intellectual conversations will promote the efficiency of the brain

------------------------------ ------------------------------ -------------------------------

The main causes of liver damage are:

1.
Sleeping too late and waking up too late are main cause.
2.
Not urinating in the morning.
3.
Too much eating.
4.
Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6.
Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring , and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible
reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8.
Consuming raw (overly done) foods also add to the burden of liver.
Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We should prevent this without necessarily spending more. We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our bodies to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to "schedule."

Because :

Evening at 9 - 11
PM : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/toxic chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on health.

Evening at 11pm - 1 am :
is the detoxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 1 - 3 am :
detoxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.
Early morning 3 - 5 am :
detoxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the detoxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am :
detoxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9 am :
absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time.Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30 am , for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30 am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 - 10 am rather than no meal at all.

Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to
4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

DO TAKE CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.................

For Your Reference

A major aspect of any job search process is the preparation of references. A well-intentioned but poorly prepared set of references can do more harm than good.

What is the purpose of reference checking?
With the increasing incidence of candidates falsifying their credentials and embellishing experience and achievements, some employers require significant background checks.
Today, some companies have a "no comment" policy. Most do not want to be sued for defamation and therefore will only comment on dates of employment, job titles and salary or refer the caller back to the human resource department. So it is either no comment or only positive things.
What is the point of a reference check if the referees will only give glowing reports, you may ask? It will still provide some measure of comfort to the potential employer to have the referee give a report that is congruent to the stories that the candidate has been telling.
A skilled reference checker will ask questions that will lead the referee to share examples and give specifics.
Typical reference check questions include:

  • What was his role/position when you worked together?
  • How long did he work in that position?
  • Why is he leaving (or has left) the organisation?
  • What responsibilities did he have?
  • Describe his key competencies and strengths.
  • Describe his developmental needs.
  • How did he perform in his role? How would you describe his performance?
  • Provide an example of his achievement.
  • Would you employ (want to work with) him again?
Who can be referees?
Recruiters will ask that your referees be made up of superiors (direct manager, team leader, project supervisor), peers or colleagues, clients, vendors, business partners and subordinates - generally, people who have worked with you in a professional capacity.

How do I prepare my referees?
Identify key areas you want to be stated in support of your career or the role you are being considered for.
The reference checker might ask for examples, so make sure the referee can support their statements with some evidence:
  1. Arrange for a meeting or phone conversation with your referee. Review questions that he may be asked.
  2. Tell your referee about the kind of job you are seeking. Ask if he is comfortable recommending you for such a position. Give him a copy of your resume, clarify your accomplishments, and answer questions he may have.
  3. Suggest to you referee that you would appreciate strong recommendations in the key areas and traits mentioned above.
  4. Ask the referee what he thinks about your weaknesses or developmental areas, for example: "May I ask you what you think my developmental needs are, so that you and I are consistent?"
  5. With former bosses, clarify reasons for leaving. Tell them what you are saying and ask if they are comfortable saying that as well. You are not asking your referee to lie. You merely need a congruent story, as reasons for leaving may sometimes be vague.
  6. Write a summary so your referee can refer to it. The summary will consist of key points raised during your conversation and the traits and strengths to be emphasised - your career focus, summary of strengths, developmental needs and reasons for leaving.
  7. Tell your referee who will be getting in touch with him so he is not surprised when the call comes. Even better, schedule the call yourself if possible.
  8. Gain your referee's commitment to call you if anyone contacts him.
  9. Keep your
What if my referee does not think highly of me?
In the event your referee has a poor opinion of your developmental needs or weaknesses, for example, do not argue with him.
Listen carefully. Offer more favourable wording. It is not the end of the world if your referee gives one or two not-so-glowing comments - it shows you are human, and we all have areas of improvement. It is more important to be consistent.

Should referees be listed on resumes?
I will say "no". And do not waste space in your resume stating the obvious "References will be provided upon request". It is understood.
The reason: You want to control the formal reference checking process and prevent overzealous recruiters from calling your referees too early and too often. Some recruiters may just do so before you are considered a finalist, just to ease their workload.
If overused in situations where you are not a finalist for a job, you run the risk of your referees becoming less that enthusiastic, resulting in a weaker response when you really need them.

Can reference letters or testimonials replace references?
In reality, companies rarely look at reference letters. It may raise more alarms in some cases where the candidate refuses to provide referees.
You may use a testimonial to serve as a preliminary reference until you are a serious candidate. Never let testimonial take the place of a recruiter talking to your referee personally. Your referee will be contacted anyway.
Most potential employers will not ask for a letter of reference, so do not push your referee for a letter.

What if my former superior does not make a "good" referee?
Let's say you did not get along with your previous supervisor, and your future employer will be looking to speak to your former boss as a referee.
Offer the information before it is requested. Raise the issue yourself, so you can tell it your way.
Offer alternative referees who acted in some way as your supervisor, such as board members, project heads, cross-functional managers, among others.

How do I minimise weak references?
Reference checking can be formal or informal.
Informal or blind references will happen without your knowledge and consent, and may be beyond your control. Therefore you must ensure that your formal references are properly prepared.
Excluding your former boss from your list of referees is a red flag for most recruiters.
While in interview, you may exclude a potentially weak reference from a former boss by offering the following:
"My boss had a heavy travel schedule, and we worked independently of one another. So he did not have much knowledge of my results. You are welcome to call him, but please keep in mind he may not know me as well as the other referees on my list."
Or: "We worked in a matrixed organisation. While Mr A was my location manager and immediate supervisor, the business director came from Mr B, the head of my business unit, with whom I worked more closely. Mr B has more intimate knowledge of my projects and results."
References can make or break a deal. Ask them if they will call you after each reference check for a debrief. And of course, don't forget to say "thank you" or send a note of appreciation.

Seven Ways to Succeed as Project Manager

1. Use tools effectively
A variety of project management software tools can help in keeping you track of the numerous tasks, their sequence, the critical path, the dependency on other people and major milestones. Such tools are essential to plan, manage and track any kind of project today.
If you are new to project management or new to project management tools, you are incurring a double risk. Make sure you get familiar and know how to use the tools effectively, as they will aid you in your projects immensely.
They also show that you have devoted time to planning and you can use the project plan to present progress and communicate to management or team members.

2. Give feedback
Giving criticism effectively is not easy. There is a fine line between upsetting your team members and offering constructive feedback that will help the team members and the project. Likewise, the ability to receive criticism and take it positively is crucial for project managers.
It is easy to avoid criticism. Say nothing, do nothing and be nothing. If you are going to move mountains, you are going to have to accept a little flak. You can attend short workshops on how to give constructive feedback to help you in this area.

3. Be open to ideas
Nobody knows everything. Sometimes you are so busy making ends meet that you are not able to look at the big picture or think out of the box. Develop a culture where your team members continuously look for new ideas, new ways to make things better and discuss them with you.

4. Address issues
If two members of your project team can't stand each other and cooperation is vital to the success of the project, address the issue. Find a way in which they can work professionally or modify roles and assignments. Don't let the issue linger on, as it will come back to haunt you and cause greater stress later on. Issues seldom disappear on their own.
This also relates to your decision-making skills. Are you a quick decision-maker, or do you take forever to make up your mind?
Remember, no decision is good or bad at the time of making it. Only time can tell if it was a good decision or not. So why wait? Evaluate the best alternatives and proceed.
You can always adjust course along the way and after the project to its destination.

5. Manage your time
Organise your desk, your projects, your e-mail and your time well. There may be too many things vying for your attention at any given time.
Make sure you spend your time on the things that matter the most.
In the same vein, most of the manager's time is spent in meetings. Make sure you have a clear agenda for the meetings you organise, list what decisions need to be made and work with a fixed, short time period to end the meeting with a decision. Start and end the meeting on time.

6. Don't micro-manage
One of the dilemmas most newbie project managers find is that it takes ages to get some team members to understand what needs to be done. The project manager gets frustrated explaining the same thing again and again, and gets a completely different output than what he expected. So he end up doing it himself. The more he does things himself, the less time he has to manage and track the project.
This is a Catch-22 situation. If you do not invest time in building the knowledge and skills of your team, you cannot achieve major success. There is only a certain amount of work you can do yourself.
Make sure your team complements you, and can deliver quality work on its own. If required, send team-members for training and appoint mentors or buddies to help them learn the ropes quickly.

7. Communicate often
Track the progress of the project often, and communicate it to all stakeholders. Regular communication keeps everyone happy, and you are viewed as an effective and efficient project manager who stays on top of things.
